Info
This is a hand tooled and woven Flat Reed Adirondack Oak Rattan Sewing Chair; Peg and Post. This chair was constructed together, peg and post with the firm hold of the rattan woven seat. The rocker is of tooling methods of the 1700s and is most likely made in the 1800s as a folk chair. It was common that the mountain areas still practiced the 1700s methods in the early 1900s. Hence was why mountain furniture became famous and well sought for, due to the hand crafted living artistry.
